The renowned visionary creator, Robert Kirkman (Science Dog, Invincible Universe: Battle Beast), known for the popular series, The Walking Dead and Invincible, noted how the former shaped the letter. According to Deadline, Kirkman explained that the decade-long series focusing on Rick Grimes and the zombie-apocalypse survivors delivered invaluable lessons that helped develop the acclaimed superhero series and its protagonist.
According to Deadline, the animated series follows Mark Grayson, voiced by Steven Yeun (Beef , Mickey 17), who inherits his powers from his father Nolan aka Omni-Man, voiced by J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Tomorrow War), who strives to be a worthy superhero worthy superhero. In the third season,, Mark takes the mantle of mentor to his half-brother, Oliver, voiced by Christian Convery (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie).
Kirkman goes on to answer questions within an interview with Deadline, with one of them be his insight on the relationship between Oliver and Mark. He goes on to explain by saying,”I think it’s good to give Mark as many outside influences as possible. One thing that we dealt with in Season 2 was, “Am I becoming my father?” And his fear of that. And one of the results of interacting with his father was that he brought Oliver home.”
According to Deadline, Kirkman wasn’t only reflecting on past success, but also laying down the tremendous journey and battles that Mark will have to overcome in the upcoming season with cryptic tease. According to mxdwn, it has already been confirmed that there will be an appearance by the leader of the Viltrumite Empire, Thragg. Furthermore, fans will get to know more about the events that have transpired after the finale with Cecile, voiced by Walter Goggins (Fallout, The White Lotus) taking Conquest’s body, voiced by Jefferey Dean Morgan (The Boys, Supernatural) and modifying it.
