From Exandria to L.A.: The Mighty Nein Cast and Crew Reunite at Los Angeles Special Screening

As noted by Prime Video’s official press release, the world of Critical Role arrived in Los Angeles this week as the cast and creative team behind The Mighty Nein gathered for a special screening at Nya Studios West on November 13, 2025. Founders and veteran voice actors Travis Willingham (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Avengers Assemble), Marisha Ray (Justice League: War, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Sofia the First), Liam O’Brien (Naruto, Star Wars Rebels), Laura Bailey (The Last of Us Part II, Spider-Man), Matthew Mercer (Overwatch, Attack on Titan), Taliesin Jaffe (Hellsing, World of Warcraft), and Ashley Johnson (The Last of Us, Blindspot) walked the carpet alongside showrunner Tasha Huo (Red Sonja, Tomb Raider), marking a rare full-team reunion for the highly anticipated animated series.

As noted by Prime Video official press release, the event also included several guest stars from the upcoming season, including Anika Noni Rose (Dreamgirls, The Princess and the Frog), Aimee Carrero (She-Ra and the Princesses of Power, Elena of Avalor), and Felicia Day (The Guild, Supernatural). Following the red carpet, participants were treated to an exclusive screening of the first two episodes, followed by a reception where fans, cast, and creators gathered to celebrate the series’ premiere.

Prime Video confirmed that The Mighty Nein season one will premiere Wednesday, November 19. The studio also released a new trailer and key art ahead of the screening, emphasizing the show’s place as the next major entry in the expanding Critical Role universe.

Per Prime Video official press release, the hour-long animated series, based on Critical Role’s renowned second campaign, follows a ragged group of misfits and fugitives who are forced to join together after a powerful magical relic known as The Beacon falls into the wrong hands. Their quest to reclaim it leads them on a trip that endangers not only the realm, but reality itself.

As stated by Prime Video official press release, the ensemble cast features an impressive lineup of guests, including Mark Strong (Kingsman: The Secret Service, Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Alan Cumming (X2: X-Men United, The Good Wife), Ming-Na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., The Mandalorian), Auli’i Cravalho (Moana, The Power), Lucy Liu (Kill Bill, Elementary), Nathan Fillion (Firefly, Castle), T’Nia Miller (The Haunting of Bly Manor, Foundation), Rahul Kohli (iZombie, Midnight Mass), Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: The Next Generation, Star Trek: First Contact), and more.

According to Prime Video’s official press release, produced by Critical Role and animation powerhouse Titmouse, The Mighty Nein follows in the footsteps of the hit series The Legend of Vox Machina, bringing more of Exandria’s world to life for longtime fans and new audiences alike.
