Friends fans have been discussing it for years: a Friends reboot, a Friends reunion, a Friends revival. Basically any way to get Monica, Chandler, Phoebe, Joey, Ross, and Rachel back together after their ten season run ended thirteen years ago. Oh, and Ugly Naked Guy, we want him back too. Now at last those clambering for more sipping coffee at Central Perk, more “Fat Monica,” and more aura cleansing by Phoebe have something to look forward to.

According to E! News, beloved 90s tv-show Friends is heading to the stage as an off-Broadway musical. Now, don’t get too excited or worried; Friends! The Musical! is a musical parody written by Bob and Tobly McSmith that is rooted in an appreciation for Friends, but not a staged copy of the original sitcom per The Mercury News. Bob and Tobly McSmith are the creators of other comic spoofs like 90210! The Musical!, Full House! The Musical! and Katdashians! The Musical!, each with a satiric double exclamation point stereotypical of musical theater.

The actors of the original show aren’t likely to reprise their roles, but there are already actors out there who have played the gang on stage. Last summer, an Eli Golden written and directed show called Friends: The One Where They Sing ran for eight weeks in Chicago.
Tickets for Friends! The Musical go on sale in June, and the show will debut this fall at New York’s Triad Theater, which is often host of comedic productions and a small theater at only 130 seats.
