According to Deadline, Freeform has cancelled both Single Drunk Female and The Watchful Eye. Single Drunk Female has had two seasons on the network and The Watchful Eye has only had one season.
Single Drunk Female follows Samantha Fink, played by Sofia Black-D’Elia (Your Honor, Gossip Girl), an alcoholic in her twenties who is forced to take the only opportunity to she has to get sober and avoid jail time after a public flame-out at a New York media company, which is moving back home with her overbearing mother, Carol, played by Ally Sheedy (Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, The Breakfast Club). Samantha sets out on a path to move past her worst self and to figure out her best self back in Greater Boston.
Along with Black-D’Elia and Sheedy, the series also stars Sasha Compère (Love Life, Miracle Workers), Garrick Bernard (Solar Opposites, Star Trek: Lower Decks), Rebecca Henderson (Inventing Anna, Russian Doll), and Lily Mae Harrington (All Rise, Station 19).
It was created by Simone Finch (The Conners, Roseanne) and produced by 20th Television. Finch executive produced with Daisy Gardner (Married, 30 Rock), Nora Silver (Power, Welcome to Chippendales), Jenni Konner (Ice Princess, Camping), Leslye Headland (Russian Doll, The Acolyte), and Phil Traill (The Middle, Good Girls).
The Watchful Eye follows Elena Santos, played by Mariel Molino (Promised Land, Narcos: Mexico). She is a young woman with a complicated past who works as a live-in nanny for a wealthy family in Manhattan. She soon learns that everyone in the mysterious building has ulterior motives and deadly secrets. However, Elena has some of her own shocking secrets.
Along with Molino, it stars Kelly Bishop (Gilmore Girls, Bunheads), Warren Christie (Alphas, October Road), Amy Acker (Person of Interest, Suits), Jon-Michael Ecker (Firefly Lane, Queen of the South), and Aliyah Royale (The Walking Dead: World Beyond, Major Crimes).
The series was created by Julie Durk (Grace and Frankie, You’ve Got Mail) and is produced by ABC Signature and Ryan Seacrest Productions. Emily Fox (Daybreak, Hindsight) served as showrunner and Jeffrey Reiner (Another Day, Dirty John) directed the pilot. Executive producers include Fox, Reiner, Andrea Shay (Benched, Family Tools), Nina Wass (Insatiable, Shades of Blue), and Ryan Seacrest (American Idol, Keeping Up with the Kardashians).
