Fox Stars Address Fans Amid Rumors Of ‘9-1-1: Lone Star’ Ending

Amid growing speculation that the fifth season of 9-1-1: Lone Star might be its last, the show’s stars Rafael Silva (Madam Secretary, All Souls, Fluidity) and Ronen Rubinstein (Orange Is The New Black, American Horror Stories, Smiley Face Killers) are reaching out to fans with messages of hope and encouragement, as reported by TV Line

Silva, known for his role as police officer Carlos Reyes, shared his thoughts on Instagram shortly after Deadline reported that Fox is considering concluding the first responder drama. “Wherever the ship sails, [I’m] grateful for the family I’ve created on this show,” Silva wrote in his Instagram story, reflecting his gratitude and the strong bonds formed during the series.

According to TV Line, Rubinstein, who plays paramedic T.K. Strand and Silva’s on-screen husband, directly addressed the swirling rumors. He reminded fans that no final decision about the show’s future has been made. “Nowhere in that article stated a certain fate for our show,” Rubinstein clarified on his Instagram story. He assured fans that the cast and crew are dedicated to delivering an exceptional season. “But one thing I do know for certain is we will continue pouring our blood, sweat, and tears into these last few episodes and deliver to you our most special season yet. I better see all of you in September.”

Despite their openness about the cancellation rumors, neither actor commented on another significant development reported by Deadline: Sierra McClain (Mindhunter, Daddy’s Little Girls, Empire), who plays Grace Ryder, will not return as a series regular for the upcoming season.

As the fifth season of 9-1-1: Lone Star approaches, airing Mondays at 8/7c this fall, it leads into the debut of the new lifeguard drama Rescue: HI-Surf. “Fans are eagerly anticipate the continuation of the series, with many hoping that it won’t be the final chapter for the beloved 126 crew, as mentioned by TV Line.
