The Los Angeles Times reports that Fox has ordered the final nine episodes of the new comedy Dads. This completes the full season order of 22 episodes.
Dads premiered soft on Fox this season to harsh reviews but has stayed consistent and out performed second year comedy The Mindy Project in the advertiser favorite 18-49 demographic. Last Tuesday’s showing earned 3.61 million viewers in the demographic, enough to merit the full season order and for Fox chairman of entertainment to say,
“Fox has been looking to break into the multi-camera format for some time, with Dads, we have an asset that we can grow, and we’re looking forward to seeing where the fantastic cast and the creative minds of [executive producers] Seth [MacFarlane], Alec [Sulkin], Mike [Scully] and Wellesley [Wild] take us the rest of the season.”
