FOX Buys New Interactive TV Contest

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has just bought the rights to air its own version of a famous Israeli format, Boom!

The show will feature four contestants trying to diffuse replicas of bombs while answering trivia questions at the same time, racing against the clock.

The contestants cut “live wires” of different colors, which represent answers, and viewers at home also have the option to answer, since the show will be interactive.

It is the second Israeli format being sold this season, since ABC already picked up Rising Star, a singing competition, a few months ago.

It is also the second big buy from FOX’s executive VP Simon Andreae, who had bought Utopia, an experimental TV show, some time ago too.
