The upcoming addition to Fox’s adult animation slate, The Great North, is set to air a special preview of the series’ pilot episode on Sunday, January 3, 2021, according to Deadline. This announcement of the special preview comes along with the news of a shifted lineup of Fox programming after a doubleheader NFL broadcast on the particular Sunday. Fox’s lineup will begin at 8 PM EST with the premiere of Mayim Bialik’s (The Big Bang Theory) Call Me Kat which will lead into The Great North’s preview at 8:30 PM EST. The long-running animated comedy, The Simpsons, will air a new episode at 9 PM EST with the final season of Last Man Standing premiering the first episode of its ninth season at 9:30 PM EST.
The Great North is a series created by Minty Lewis (Regular Show), Lizzie and Wendy Molyneux (Bob’s Burgers) and centers on single father Beef Tobin as he attempts to raise his children by himself in the treacherous landscape of Alaska. The series’ voice cast will feature Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) as Beef Tobin, Will Forte (The Last Man on Earth, Saturday Night Live) as the oldest son Wolf, Jenny Slate (Bob’s Burgers, House of Lies) as the daughter Judy, Paul Rust (Love) as the middle son Ham, Aparna Nancherla (Inside Amy Schumer) as the youngest son Moon, and Dulcé Sloan (The Daily Show with Trevor Noah) as Wolf’s fiancée Honeybee.
Currently, The Great North is set to premiere its first season on February 14, 2021. Ahead of its premiere, Fox has announced that the series had received a second season renewal. Check out the series teaser trailer below:
