Fox Announces Cast for New Series ‘Rescue: Hi-Surf’

Variety has reported that FOX has cast its new Lifeguard drama Rescue: Hi-Surf. The show was greenlit in April 2023. The show will focus on heavy-water lifeguards and their lives on the North Shore of O’ahu.

The actors that will come on as cast include Robbie Magasiva (Wentworth, Bad Behaviour, Sione’s Wedding), Adam Demos (Sex / Life, UnReal, Falling Inn Love), Kekoa Kekumano (The White Lotus, Aquaman, Press Play), Alex Aiono (Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin, See You on Venus, Doogie Kameāloha M.D.), Zoe Cipres (Roswell, New Mexico, Maneater, Long Pork), and Sea Shimooka (3 Body Problem, Strangers at Night, Arrow). The series lead will be Arielle Kebbel (Ballers, Arielle Kebbe, John Tucker Must Die).

Cipres is represented by Brave Artists Management. Shimooka is represented by Buchwald and Anonymous Content. Kebbel is represented by Independent Artist Group, Untitled Entertainment, Vision PR, and Hanson Jacobson. Kekumano is represented by Luber Roklin Entertainment and Bliss Models and Talent. Demos is represented by Untitled Entertainment, Independent Artist Group, and Sophie Jermyn Management (Australia). Aiono is represented by United Talent Agency (UTA), Luber Roklin Entertainment, and Myman Greenspan. The agencies representing Magasiva are Impression Entertainment and Sue Barnett & Associates

Magasiva is set to play Harlon “Sonny” Jennings. Kebbel will portray Emily “EM” Wright. Demos is cast as Will Ready. Kekumano is set to play Laka Hanohano. Aiono will be seen as Kainalu. Cipres is cast as Hina. Shimooka will have a recurring role as Jenn.

The creative team includes Matt Kester (Animal Kingdom, Forever, Outsiders) as writer, executive producer, and showrunner, John Wells (Burnt, The Company Men, August: Osage County) as executive producer and director of the first two episodes, and Erin Jontow (Maid, Shameless, Animal Kingdom) and Daniele Nathanson (Nurse Jackie, Animal Kingdom, Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders) will executive produce. The series will be co-produced by Fox Entertainment and Warner Bros. Television.
