Despite Prime Video’s The Boys coming to a close next week, this doesn’t mean that Prime Video is done with The Boys universe. In fact, Prime Video has acquired four actors to join in their new prequel series called Vought Rising. The actors joining the series are James Wolk (Happy Face, Harley Quinn), Dylan Arnold (Born to Lose, Oppenheimer), Josh Randall (Untamed, Station 19) and Chad Willett (A Dickens of a Holiday!, Broken Diamonds).
For those who don’t know, Vought Rising will be a series set in the 1950s that follows the characters Solider Boy and Clara Vought also known as Stormfront. The pair are apart of a murder mystery during the early days of Vought. When it comes to the characters that the four actors will play, all has been kept under wraps until the seris premieres.
According to Deadline, Paul Grellong (The Boys, Hawaii Five-0) will serve as the executive producer and and showrunner for the show. Wolk was apart of the series Watchmen and The Boys in the Boat, Arnold was recently seen in Apple TV’s Lady in the Lake, Randall was seen as a series regular in Station 19 as Captain Sean Beckett and Scott Bodwin on Netflix’s Untamed, and Willett appeared as a series regular on Supernatural.
The cast so far consists of Jensen Ackles (The Boys, Tracker), Aya Cash (Kill Me, Adult Children), Rohan Mead (Warrior Strong, Under the Banner of Heaven), Mark Pellegrino (The Last Thing He Told Me, Murdaugh: Death in the Family), Eric Johnson (Saint-Pierre, The Players), David Hewlett (Misletoe Murders, Do Us Part), Raphael Sbarge (The Beast in Me, The Diplomat), Cecily Strong (Zootopia 2, Saturday Night Live), Aaron Douglas (Web of Life, Murder in a Small Town), Brian J. Smith (Haze, Class of ’09), Mason Dye (Stranger Things, The Goldbergs), Kiki Layne (Fake Yourself a Merry Little Christmas, The Old Guard 2), Will Hochman (Blue Bloods, Before), Elizabeth Posey (Resisting Roots, Heels), Rickey Staffieri (The Bear, Read the Room), Clem McIntosh (The Slack, Crustaceous), Brett Wolfe (Deadly Science, Twisted Metal), Nicolo Pasetti (All Heart, Hotel Costiera), Annie Shapero (House of the Dragon, Saccharine), Romi Shraiter (Negative Capability, Ginny & Georgia), Jorden Myrie (Ticket, Sherwood), Nick Hendrik (Sheriff Country, IT: Welcome to Derry), Maia Thron (Devil in Disguise: John Wayne Gacy, My Sister’s Double Life), Katherine Winter (Lady in the Lake, Billions), Trevor Benham (Cold Blood, This Is a Recording), Markjan Winnick (Rabbit Hole, Alice, Darling), Andre Reiter (The Miniature Wife, The Testaments), and Rob Perreault (American Hangman, Hard Rock Medical).
