Apple TV’s Slow Horses season six has gone off without hitch. Now that the series has been renewed for two seasons, the series has managed to find five actors to join season seven. According to Deadline, Varada Sethu (The Other Bennet Sister, 100 Nights of Hero), Ethan Moorhouse (The Moment, Sycoraxe), Tuppence Middleton (The Forsytes, Death by Lightning), Merab Ninidze (Slow Horses, Crooks), and Joshua McGuire (The Gray House, Ponies) are set to join the upcoming new season.
For those who don’t know, Slow Horses is a series that tells a story about a dysfunctional team of MI5 agents that navigate the world of espionage and defend the UK from sinister forces. In charge of this rag-tag team of misfits is Jackson Lamb, who is tasked with leading the Slough Horses after a series of career-ending mistakes. According to Deadline, season seven will based on Mick Herron’s (Slow Horses, Down Cemetery Road) novel Bad Actors, where Lamb and his Slough Horses are on a mission to hunt and neutralize the mole at the heart of British Government before they can bring down the state.
The cast consists of Gary Oldman (Parthenope, Oppenheimer), Jack Lowden (Rogue Trooper, Vote Gavin Lyle), Kristin Scott Thomas (Camembert, My Mother’s Wedding), Christopher Chung (My Brilliant Career, Dragon Striker), Saskia Reeves (Suez: 24 Hours That Broke the British Empire, National Theatre Live: End), Aimee-Ffion Edwards (Believe Me, Lonely No More), Rosalind Eleazar (Misty Green, Broken Gargoyles), Ruth Bradley (Concordia, Embers), Tom Brooke (Sense and Sensibility, Amaretti), Jonathan Pryce (Flavia de Luce: Girl Detective, Under Salt Marsh), James Callis (Havoc Town, Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy), Joanna Scanlan (The Party, Missed Call), Samuel West (Doctor Who: The War Doctor, Dark Gallifrey), Bally Gill (The Vampire Lestat, Shelter), Naomi Wirthner (Supergirl, Crookhaven), Hugo Weaving (Dalliance, The Airport Chaplain), and Olivia Cooke (House of the Dragon, A Talent for Murder).
