The first glimpse at Orange is the New Black’s season 2 has been released early Thursday morning, reports The Hollywood Reporter .
“I am prepared to behave like a model inmate, and I feel that I no longer pose a threat.” These are the first words we hear from Piper Chapman since we last saw her in the Netflix’s original hit series, Orange is the New Black. The season 2 trailer features heavy music with the words: “On June 6, it’s hitting the fan, it’s getting real” flashing across the screen.
The trailer promises an even crazier and more thrilling season than the widely successful season 1. A new cast member is introduced, played by Lorraine Toussaint, who the trailer sets up as an enemy for Red. (Kate Mulgrew) Many fans have also noticed the absence of Taryn Manning. Viewers were left with a cliff hanger at the end of season 1 with a fight between Piper Chapman and her ongoing nemesis, Tiffany “Pennsatucky” Doggett. The trailer also features many returning cast members, including, Jason Biggs, Laura Prepon, Natasha Lyonne, Laverne Cox and Lea Delaria.
The new season will be released on Netflix on June 6. The newly released trailer is below.
