

A major update off the live adaptation Avatar:The last Airbender was teased by none other than the fire lord himself. Within an interview with Screerant, Daniel Dae Kim (Hawaii Five-0,Lost), who plays Ozai offers an exciting insight and hinting that season two and three will feel significantly bigger in both scope and scale than in the previous season. The entire conversation is seen below.
ScreenRant: Does season 2 feel bigger than season 1?
Daniel Dae Kim: It does. It’s very different. We’re on location a lot more, and season 3, which we’re about to start, is even bigger than season 2.
According to Screenrant, the series follows the same as the animated original in which Aang, played by Gordon Cormier (Lost in Space, The Stand) along with his companions Katara, played by Kiawentiio (What If?.., N’xaxaitkw) and Sokka, played by Ian Ousley (13 Reasons Why, Young Sheldon) travels to end the tyranny of the fire nation and bring peace back to the world. According to mxdwn post, the second season will have the iconic blind earth bender, Toph, who will be played by Miya Cech (The Astronauts, The Darkest Minds).
According to mxdwn, a major scene that will surely be included will be the Avatar crew out running and facing against Azula, played by Elizabeth Yu (Black Spines, Year One) and her two compatratios May, played by Thalia Tran (Ray and the Last Dragon, Little) and Tai Lee, played by Momona Tamada (The Spiderwick Chronicles, Secret Headquarters).
Additionally, fans will be able to see the viewpoints of Iron, played Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (Ahsoka, The Mandalorian) and Zuko played by Dallas James Liu (The Slumber Party, Tekken) as well, as they are recuperating from the events from the previous season. According to mxdwn, the two will have a challenging journey together, and their relationship will be put to the test along the way.
While fans await further information surrounding the future seasons of the live action Avatar: The Last Airbender series, the entire first season is available to stream on Netflix.
