Final Season of HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley’ Will Air in October

This October, the HBO comedy series Silicon Valley will conclude with its sixth and final season. The series has been a collaboration between Golden Globe and Emmy-nominated Alec Berg and Mike Judge, filtering the high-tech world of Silicon Valley through a comedic lens while following a group of unlikely individuals seeking success in the epicenter of modernity and technological innovation.

Since its season one debut in 2014, the series has been hailed by critics and fans alike as a comedic gem. Its premiere season was eventually nominated for five Primetime Emmy Awards, winning in the Outstanding Single-Camera Picture Editing for a Comedy Series category. Its success is further reflected in its Rotten Tomato score of 95%. Sean Gandert from Paste Magazine had this to say of the show: “Silicon Valley simply finds its world absurd and hilarious, a counterfeit utopia so out of control that there’s always something entertaining going on.” The Atlantic likewise celebrated the show’s penultimate season as “exciting” and “hilarious,” with A.V. Club declaring the cast as “one of the best comedic ensembles on television.”

Silicon Valley stars Thomas Middleditch as Richard, Zach Woods as Jared, Kumail Nanjiani as Dinesh, Martin Starr as Gilfoyle, Amanda Crew as Monica, Jimmy O. Yang as Jian-Yang, Suzanne Cryer as Laurie Bream, Matt Ross as Gavin Belson and Josh Brener as Big Head.

The show is executive produced by Judge and Berg, who also write and direct for the series. They are joined by executive producers Clay Tarver, Michael Rotenberg, Lew Morton, Jim Kleverweis and Tom Lassally. Silicon Valley is co-executive produced by Ron Weiner, Daisy Gardner, and Sarah Walker. Mike Judge, John Altschuler, and Dave Krinsky created the comedy series.

The seven-episode, sixth season of Silicon Valley will premiere on HBO in October. The official air date has yet to be announced by HBO.
