Final Season Of Amazon Freevee’s ‘Bosch: Legacy’ Debuts March 27

Per a Prime Video press release, the final season of Bosch: Legacy will premiere on March 27. The season will have ten episodes and will be released in more than 240 countries exclusively on Prime Video.

The official logline of the prime video drama via its streamer’s press release is as follows: “The murder investigation of Kurt Dockweiler brings dangerous secrets to light and threatens to ruin the lives of our three principal characters. The disappearance of a family haunts Harry Bosch and forces him to confront the limits of justice. In a hotly contested race, Honey “Money” Chandler is poised to become the next District Attorney of Los Angeles. And Maddie Bosch gets entangled in a series of violent follow-home robberies.”

Author of the series and executive producer for Bosch: Legacy, Michael Connelly (The Lincoln Lawyer, Blood Work), said about the show per the press release, “What an amazing run it has been. I could not have asked for better cinematic adaptation of my work. Led by Titus Welliver (The Town, An Affair to Die For) and showrunners Eric Overmyer (Treme, Rear Window) and Tom Bernardo (Bosch, The Lincoln Lawyer), and a great partnership with Amazon MGM Studios, I think we defined the start of the streaming era with the best detective show ever.”

The stars of Bosch: Legacy include Welliver, Chris Browning (Invitation to Murder, Only Mine), Celestino Corneille (Carlita’s Secret, Laugh to Keep from Crying), Denise Sanchez (The Good Place, Criminal Minds), Gregory Scott Cummings (It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Charmed), Paul Calderon (Sea of Love, Girlfight), Stephen A. Chang (This Is Us, Artificial), Scott Klace (The Throwaways, NCIS) and Troy Evans (Hannah Montana, Boy Meets World). New cast members include Andrea Cortes (The Company You Keep, The Old Ways), Chris Bauer (Heels, True Blood), Dale Dickey (My Name is Earl, Bloodline), Manuel Uriza (Narcos: Mexico, Gente-fied), Michael Reilly Burke (My All American, Creature), Orla Brady (Mistresses, Wuthering Heights) and Tommy Martinez (Good Trouble, Laid).

As stated in the press release, episode three is based on Connelly’s two best-selling novels, The Black Ice and Desert StarThe series focuses on Welliver’s Harry Bosch, Madison Lintz’s (The Walking Dead, After) Maddie Bosch and Mimi Roger’s (The Door in the Floor, The Mirror Has Two Faces) Honey “Money” Chandler.

Via mxdwn, Maggie Q (The Protege, Nikita) will star in the Bosch spinoff series Ballard, named after her character Renee Ballard who will also be shown in season three. Another spinoff, which is untitled, centers around Harry Bosch’s ex-partner Detective Jerry EdgarThe third season was also renewed before its season two premiere.

The series is from Fabel Entertainment. The executive producers are Overmyer, Connelly, Welliver, Bernardo, Henrik Bastin (Brilliant Minds, Interrogation) and Pieter Jan Brugge (Clifford, Love & Other Drugs).
