‘Fear The Walking Dead’ Season 4: It’s Okay If You’re Not Caught Up

Fear The Walking Dead, AMC’s The Walking Dead spin-off, is gearing up for Season 4. And while the series, like its sister show, follows the developing story of a group of everyday people as they try to survive and adapt in the zombie apocalypse, producers say you can still get into Season 4, even if you haven’t seen the previous seasons.

During WonderCon, Producer Andrew Chambliss said the show has evolved and recruited so many new character storylines that new viewers can catch on.

“Really I think anyone, whether you’re a fan of Fear The Walking Dead and The Walking Dead or someone who’s completely new to the universe, can really kind of step in, and we’ve got so many new faces and so many familiar faces that there’s a different point of view kind of represented in the episode, so it’s very easy for someone to kind of latch onto a particular point of view and just kind of experience this season,” he said, according to CinemaBlend. “So I’d say anyone who has any interest can – they can jump aboard. I don’t think it’s hard to kind of find their footing in the storytelling.”

According to the report, Season 4 will see a new plot focus and many characters joining.

Part of this – SPOLIER ALERT – is due to the series having already killed off the vast majority of the show’s original characters. This includes Eliza, Chris, Travis, Ofelia, Jake and Troy, as CinemaBlend notes. As such, the only original characters left are, basically, Madison (Kim Dickens) and her children, Nick Clark (Frank Dillane), Alicia Clark (Alycia Debnam-Carey), and Victor Strand (Colman Domingo).

Season 4 of Fear The Walking Dead premieres on AMC on April 15th.

It will see the additions of Garret Dillahunt (Deadwood, Justified), and Jenna Elfman (Dharma & Greg).

As usual, the minds behind the show are doing their best to keep any and all plot points a secret. However, the season is said to take place in Texas (after having started off in California and boating to Mexico).  In addition, producers have teased a shift in powers and enemies becoming allies.

Plus, according to the Season 4 trailer, The Walking Dead character Morgan Jones (Lennie James) is crossing over. Check out the trailer here.
