“Fatal Attraction” joins the list of TV One’s docu-series

TV One’s newest “docu-series” is Fatal Attraction, a show that explores real-life stories where “ordinary people commit unthinkable and criminal acts in the name of love.”

With a combination of interviews, interrogation footage and dramatic reenactments, audiences are provided with an in-depth look at the way romantic situations can take a turn for the worse, even becoming dangerous for those involved. Narrated by Lynn Whitfield, the series “taps into an unfortunate but timely trend, illustrating the power of misguided passion.”

Such docu-series have been hugely successful for TV One. From Deceived, which tells stories of fraud and betrayal, to Find Our Missing, which searches for people of color who have disappeared, these shows acknowledge a variety of situations that are all too common in today’s news.

The network hopes to continue its pattern of success with Fatal Attraction, which premieres tonight at 9 PM. You can watch a preview here.
