Paul Walker is moving from cars to ships with an appearance on Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, the Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.
The actor, who studied marine biology in college, will join a team of research scientists as they search for the breeding grounds of great white sharks. The expedition will seek to find and protect these areas, as they have never yet been caught on film or seen by humans.
The program, titled Spawn of Jaws, is slated to air August 6 at 10 PM.
Walker is best known for his work in the “Fast and Furious” movie franchise. He also remains a self-proclaimed “ocean addict”, and previously appeared on National Geographic’s Expedition Great White, catching and tagging sharks off the coast of Mexico.
