Eric Kripke Releases Teaser Photo For ‘The Boys’ Season Three

Production for Amazon Prime’s The Boys season three started last week and to celebrate, showrunner Eric Kripke (Writer, Supernatural) posted on his twitter account with brand new photo revealing a sneak peek of what’s in store for this upcoming season, according to ComcBook. The image is a golden statue of Homelander (Antony Starr, Wish You Were Here) as he stands as a shining example to the public as the golden standard for superheroes. As the fans well know however, Homelander is the farthest thing from a good hero, let alone a decent person. Check out the tweet below to see the image Kripke posted to celebrate the production of season three:

Starr offered his own opinions about season three and fans can rest assured that this next season will offer more exciting moments for its audience, “I think I’ve read the first four or five of season three. It’s a lot of fun, I got to say it. It’s a hell of a lot of fun. It’s strange because we care so much about what we’re doing and what we’re going to be doing with these episodes and we have very little control over it initially, especially,” Starr stated according to ComicBook.

Season three will also see the debut of the character Soldier Boy who is no doubt a parody of Captain America. Soldier Boy will be played by fan favorite Jensen Ackles (Jason Todd, Batman: Under The Red Hood) who starred in the long running CW series Supernatural as Dean Winchester. Fans are excited to see his take on Soldier Boy and witness how he fits in with The Seven.

With a strong fan base and two seasons under its belt Amazon’s The Boys is certainly a heavy hitter as far as original series are concerned. Last we left the group, there were several loose ends that were left untied and viewers will have to wait and see what happens to each of the characters as they find themselves in another complex situation. With certain secretes brought to light and each character fostering their own vendetta for what they believe is the greater good, tempers are bound to burst in this upcoming season.
