Starz will undertake some changes in its channels lineup to satisfy key demographic groups that over-index in the premium space.

The premium TV company announced modifications, which will take effect Dec. 2, in order to “super-serve” some demographic groups and to further strengthen Encore. To achieve this, Starz will modify its lineup. Encore Black will replace the Encore Drama channel. The TV group promises to broadcast popular programming for the African-American community.
Encore Love will be renamed Encore Classic with a focus on boomers. In the new channel there will be a mix of evergreen movies and classic TV series. Classic movies will air at 9 p.m. every day.
Moreover, in an attempt to expand its Hispanic public, Encore will lower the cost of Encore Espanol.
