Bargatze has shared that he plans to keep the tone of the night cool and lighthearted, steering clear of political commentary in the wake of recent events, as reported by Deadline. His goal is to make tonight a celebration of unity and an “escape” for both viewers and attendees.
Leading the pack is Severance from Apple TV+, which enters the night with a remarkable 27 nominations. Apple TV+ also dominates the comedy categories with 24 nominations. Meanwhile, HBO has a strong presence thanks to The Penguin, which secured 24 nominations, putting it right behind Severance in the drama race.

The host, Nate Bargatze, kicks off the show on a positive and uplifting note as he plans to donate to charity. To begin the broadcast, he has instituted a rule: winners should keep their acceptance speeches under 45 seconds. For every second under the mark, he’ll add to a donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America; for every second over, he’ll subtract.

Ben Stiller has arrived on the red carpet, discussing what it’s like to be a double nominee at this year’s Emmy Awards. Stiller assured fans they won’t have to wait another three years for the next season of Severance, hinting that the wait between seasons will be much shorter this time.
