Lois Lane will be joining this years Arrowverse crossover, and Elizabeth Tulloch has been cast to play her. Mr. Freeze’s wife, Nora Fries, will also be joining the crossover with Cassandra Jean Amell (who is also married to Stephen Amell aka Green Arrow) taking on her character. While the CW has not revealed what the three part crossover is about, they have announced three new characters that will be joining the Arrowverse, which also includes Ruby Rose as Batwoman.
A leak from when Lois Lane was being cast, the description for her character was, “the daughter of US General Same Lane, Lois is a tenacious, righteous, and stubborn reporter who will go to any length to get the story and almost never fails.” As of right now nothing has been revealed about Amell’s character.
Tulloch’s previous appearances on the screen includes: Concussion, Parkland, Quarterlife, and Chronic. She is also well known for her time on Grimm. Amell originally started on America’s Next Top Model, but has also been a guest star on: The CW’s One Tree Hill and Hart of Dixie, as well as, Mad Men.
The Flash star Grant Gustin said, “To see Flash and Superman together and to be one of the guys in the suits is something I’m definitely pretty excited about. It did feel like something they would always save for the features to be honest. But I feel like the Arrowverse has kind of been changing that stigma with the whole TV is the lesser medium. I think it kind of doesn’t matter these days with the streaming and content’s kind of everywhere. So, it is cool to see us kind of rise to even another level and bring all of us together for these crossovers. It’s pretty epic.”
Tyler Hoechlin will also be part of the three episode event taking on his role as Superman. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will not be part of the event, which is set to air in December. Mr. Freeze will also not be in any of the episodes even though his wife will be making at least an appearance.
The untitled Arrowverse crossover event will air on December 9th starting off with The Flash, then go to Monday December 10th night on Arrow, and ends on Tuesday with Supergirl December 11th.
