E! is offering viewers a chance to explore the lives of their favorite musicians with the new E!’s Inside Track Summer Concert Series, slated to begin June 21 at 7 PM. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the series will become a regular element of E! News as part of the network’s collaboration with Live Nation.
The series will showcase groups and artists as they perform all over the country, from Detroit to St. Louis. The first episode is set to include performances from the Backstreet Boys, Big Time Rush, Brad Paisley, the Goo Goo Dolls, the Jonas Brothers, Ke$ha, Matchbox Twenty, New Kids on the Block and Pitbull.
With interviews, tour bus access, behind-the-scenes looks at artists’ tours, concert footage and more, the Summer Concert Series will serve as an all-access pass for fans to experience the lives of their favorite musicians.
The E! website will supplement the footage broadcast on television, even offering opportunities to win tickets from Live Nation. President Suzanne Kolb recognizes the value of an online component, stating that “in today’s world of social media, live TV starts the conversation that lives on Twitter and other social networks.”
“E! thrives in the music space,” according to E! News president Cyndi McClellan. E!’s Inside Track Summer Concert Series will certainly allow the network a chance to explore that space further and provide audiences with exclusive access to today’s most popular artists.
