‘Dynasty’ Reveals New Actress For Alexis Carrington Role

On Friday CW’s show Dynasty had a major reveal for its audience, according to Deadline. The show finally revealed who will replace Nicollette Sheridan who starred as Alexis Carrington on the series. Due to personal family matters, Sheridan left the show in March.

In the past, Alexis, who was known to be manipulative, clashed with her long-lost son Adam. Adam then revealed that he was aware that Hank was stamped as her son. Adam also walked in on his mother destroying fake DNA evidence that would’ve proven the Hank conflict. Caught in the act, Alexis confessed to her actions and labeled them “despicable” while admitting she was desperate to return to her family.

It appeared that Adam accepted the apology, and even directed her to continue burning the evidence. However, he soon grabbed her by the hair and shoved her into the fire place. This allowed there to be a new Alexis due to the need for plastic surgery to heal the burns. In the final moments of the show on Friday, the burns were removed to reveal Elizabeth Gillies who also plays Fallon on the show.

This move resembles one done earlier on in the show. Nathalie Kelley originally played Cristal Flores Carrington, but after leaving for one season she was replaced by Ana Brenda Contreras as the real Cristal. Although the show was renewed for a third season it struggles with keeping consistent characters and sudden departures. Despite this the rating has remained steady.
