During New York Comic-Con Mark Johnson And Esta Spalding Tease Upcoming Crossovers In Anne Rice’s The Immortal Universe

According to Screenrant, Mark Johnson (Sid Is Dead, The Holdovers) and Esta Spalding (The Last Letter from Your Lover, Party of Five) have recently teased crossover for AMC’s The Talamasca series and Mayfair Witches season two during New York Comic Con. This will expand the Immortal Universe for the upcoming year, with Mayfair Witches season two starting the crossovers when it premieres on January 5, 2025. Spalding will be reprising her role as showrunner for the upcoming season. The Talamasca was also announced to be in development and is scheduled to air in 2025. Johnson serves as executive producer on both shows, alongside Interview with the Vampire.

As per Screenrant, Johnson and Spalding teased the upcoming crossover between the series while speaking at New York Comic Con. They spoke about how The Talamasca can help connect the other two series to expand the Immortal Universe and confirmed that characters from both shows will appear in the series. Spalding confirmed that there will be a character from Interview with the Vampire in the third episode of Mayfair Witches.

During the convention, Johnson said, “You know what, it’s very hard for us to think of legitimate ways to crossover between Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire. However, in the show we’re shooting right now, Talamasca, there’s going to be considerable crossover, and some characters you’ve fallen in love with – or fallen in hate with – in both shows may appear in The Talamasca.”

Spalding added, “We do have one character we were lucky enough to get from Interview with the Vampire who comes into our third episode. So episode 3, you will see one character.”

The Immortal Universe is a collaboration of Anne Rice’s (Queen of the Dammed, The Young Messiah) novels that include witches, vampires and now a secret society that investigates the paranormal.

Mayfair Witches and Interview with the Vampire are available to stream on AMC+. The Talamasca will air on the streaming platform sometime next year.
