Comedy Central wants you to remember an important historical date – January 23, 2018. That’s the premiere date for Season 5 of Drunk History as reported by Deadline. To prepare you for the quiz, they have also released a trailer for the next round of history lessons.
The star laden trailer features Jason Ritter, Amber Tamblyn, Kirsten Dunst and Josh Charles just to drop a few names. Episode 1 features the profiles of three badass women in history. Busy Philipps portrays Rose Valland, the European museum curator who risked life and limb to keep masterpieces from the Nazis. Story two covers Deborah Sampson (Evan Rachel Wood) who was wounded in the Revolutionary War. Finally, American Red Cross founder Clara Barton (Mandy Moore) gets a little battlefield help from Abraham Lincoln (Jack McBrayer).
After the 10pm premiere of Drunk History, Comedy Central will also launch season 3 of Another Period. This is the story of the Bellacourt sisters who are attempting to reach Kardashian status in 1902. Natasha Leggero and Riki Lindhome serve as the series stars, co-creators, writers and executive producers.
Drunk History was brought to television by host Derek Waters, Jeremy Konner and Central Productions. The show originated on the Funny or Die platform from Will Ferrell and Adam McKay who now serve as executive producers with Owen Burke under the Gary Sanchez Productions flag.
