Disney’s ‘Wizards Beyond Waverly Place’ Sets New Record With 69M Views In Only 10 Days

Disney recently released the official trailer for Wizards Beyond Waverly Place, and fans are showing excitement like never before, according to Deadline the new trailer has set a viewership record for the Disney Channel.

Across multiple social media platforms, such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube the trailer has gained over 69 million views in just 10 days since the initial launch. This feat now earns the Wizards Beyond Waverly Place trailer the record of Disney Channel’s most-watched trailer For a comedic series of all time.

With Disney’s newest jump back into multi-camera, comedies, which have been historically the network’s most successful series, Wizards Beyond Waverly Place is looking to be a smash hit. With such high viewership for the official trailer, the series is highly anticipated by many.

The original series Wizard of Waverly Place was one of the network’s most beloved series airing from 2007 to 2012 with a beloved fan base for the series and TV movie. With this new sequel series starring David Henrie (Wizards Of Waverly Place) and Selena Gomez (Only Murders In The Building) reprising their roles as two of the three Russo siblings, Disney is shooting for big audiences.

Deadline discusses the synopsis of the new series, “Wizards Beyond Waverly Place follows an adult Justin Russo (David Henrie), who has chosen to lead a normal, mortal life with his family. When Justin’s sister Alex (Selena Gomez) brings Billie (Janice LeAnn Brown) to his home seeking help, Justin realizes he must dust off his magical skills to mentor the wizard-in-training while also juggling his everyday responsibilities — and safeguarding the future of the Wizard World.”

There will be multiple new characters as well such as Roman and Milo Russo, who are described to be Justin‘s children. Henrie will lead this project while Gomez is set to appear in the first episode and multiple appearances later in the season.

With the first official trailer breaking viewership records so quickly, Disney is expected to have a hit on their hands, and fans are a static to see such beloved characters back on their screens.
