Over 5 years after Dan Povenmire’s (Milo Murphy’s Law) animated children’s series Phineas and Ferb ended, the show will return for a Disney+ original movie in the summer of 2020, via Variety. The movie will be called Phineas and Ferb The Movie: Candace Against The Universe.
The TV series starred two step-brothers, Phineas voiced by Vincent Martella (Everybody Hates Chris) and Ferb voiced by Thomas Sangster (The Maze Runner). It followed the adventures of these step-brothers and their friends during one long summer. While the series ended in 2015, Disney+’s upcoming movie will take place before the series finale and will focus on the stepbrother’s quest to travel across the galaxy and save their sister Candace, voiced by Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical), who was abducted by aliens. However, Candace refuses to leave this “utopia” because she is free from her annoying little brothers.
