The comedy series The Santa Clauses is returning for a second season with the first two episodes premiering on November 8th. The series first debuted on Disney+ in November 2022 and was renewed one month later. According to Deadline, as the premiere date for season two approaches, Disney+ has released the trailer.
The trailer can be viewed below.
Created by Jack Burditt (Last Man Standing, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), The Santa Clauses is a continuation of The Santa Clause film franchise. Both the film series and the television series stars Tim Allen (The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Clause, Home Television) as Scott Calvin, also known as Santa Claus, as well as Elizabeth Mitchell (The Christmas Club, The Purge: Election Year) who stars as Carol Calvin, also known as Mrs. Claus.
The first season of the series revolves around Scott Calvin struggling with his role as Santa Claus as his magic begins to disappear. He also must reconcile with his responsibilities as a father and husband as he continues to raise his two children Cal and Sandra, played by Austin Kane (Family Reunion, Bizaardvark) and Elizabeth Allen-Dick (The Kelly Clarkson Show, Made in Hollywood) respectively.
According to Disney+’s official press release, the synopsis for the second season states, “Now that Scott and his family have successfully saved Christmas, Scott turns his focus towards training his son Cal to eventually take over the ‘family business’ as Santa Claus. However, a bit of North Pole magic brings an unexpected challenge to Scott’s plan.”
As shown in the trailer, the second season also stars Eric Stonestreet (Modern Family, The Secret Life of Pets) as Magnus Antas, Gabriel Iglesias (The Fluffy Movie, The Book of Life) as Kris Kringle, and Tracy Morgan (30 Rock, Cop Out) as the Easter Bunny.
Fans can look forward to getting into the holiday spirit this November with the return of The Santa Clauses.
