According to The Hollywood Reporter, recently, Disney+ revealed new trailer for the very anticipated Star Wars: Ahsoka series. The two-minute trailer released on Tuesday expands more on the series while showcasing Rosario Dawson (Daredevil, Sin City) as a Jedi as the trailer shows more battle scenes and a longer look at Dawson compared to earlier teasers. The much-anticipated series premieres on Disney+ on August 23rd.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dawson made her debut as Ahsoka Tano during season two of The Mandalorian. In the trailer, it states how she is looking to stop Thrawn from taking full control of the Empire by becoming the heir. The trailer featured many battle scenes that showcased both space fights as well as lightsaber to-lightsaber. It even flushed out more of the late Ray Stevenson (The Three Musketeers) villainous character in the series. The series takes place after the fall of the Galactic Empire as former Jedi Knight Ahsoka investigates many threats ready to harm a vulnerable galaxy.
Dave Filoni created the Ahsoka character for the animated series Star Wars: Clone Wars. Filoni is the head writer of the new series as well as an executive producer with Jon Favreau (Iron Man), Kathleen Kennedy (Jurassic Pak), Colin Wilson (Detroit), and Carrie Beck (The Book of Boba Fett). Karen Gilchrist (Cowboys & Aliens)will be serving as a co-executive producer on the series.
Other than Dawson, the cast of the series includes Natasha Liu Bordizoo (The Society), Wes Chatham (In the Valley of Elah), Hayden Christensen (Jumper), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World), Lars Mikkelsen (Forbrydelsen), David Tennant (Doctor Who), Temuera Morrison (The Flash), Ivanna Sakno (The Reunion) and many others.
Ahsoka will be available to stream on Disney+ on August 23rd.
