During the 2020 Disney Investor Day presentation, Disney+ announced an upcoming Star Wars series featuring Diego Luna (Narcos: Mexico), reprising his role from Rogue One Andor, as Decider reports. The upcoming series will be entitled Andor.
It was announced that production on the 12-episode first season of Andor began two weeks ago. It is slated to follow Andor as he lives out the early days of the Rebellion. Alongside Luna, Alan Tudyk (Serenity) is slated to reprise his role as K-2SO. Meanwhile, Genevieve O’Reilly (Tin Star), Stellan Skarsgard (Mamma Mia!), Denis Gough (Colette), Kyle Soller (The Keeping Room), and Adria Arjona (Emerald City) will also appear in the series.
While no premiere date has officially been set for Andor, Disney+ did tease that it would premiere in 2022.
