As reported by Blexmedia, Disney+ has announced an impressive list of guest actors for the second season of The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder. The show was renewed for a second season in April of this year, and is set to premiere on February 1, 2023.
Gabrielle Union (Bring it on), Anthony Anderson (Black-ish), Holly Robinson Peete (21 Jump Street), Leslie Odom Jr. (One Night in Miami), artist Chance the Rapper, Fifth Harmony’s Normani, Jane Lynch (Glee), Maury Povich (The Maury Show), Storm Reid (A Wrinkle in Time, Euphoria), Courtney B. Vance (61st Street), and Liana Mendoza (Hey Mr. Postman) will all be voicing characters on the series. Olympic Gymnasts Dominique Dawes, Gabby Douglas, and Laurie Hernandez will also guest star.
They join returning cast members Kyla Pratt (Dr. Dolittle) as Penny Proud, Tommy Davidson (Black Dynamite) as Oscar Proud, Paula Jai Parker (Hollywood Divas) as Trudy Proud, Jo Marie Payton (Family Matters) as Suga Momma, Bresha Webb (Run The World) as twins Bebe and Cece, and Cedric the Entertainer (The Neighborhood) as Bobby Proud.
The second season will also see the return of guest stars Keke Palmer (True Jackson, VP) as Maya Leibowitz-Jenkins, Billy Porter (American Horror Story) as Randall Leibowitz-Jenkins, Zachary Quinto (Star Trek) as Barry Leibowitz-Jenkins, E.J. Johnson (Rich Kids of Beverly Hills) as Michael Collins, Asante Blackk (This is Us) as Kareem, and Artist “A Boogie wit da Hoodie” Dubose as Francis “KG” Leibowitz-Jenkins. Additionally, Karen Malina White (Malcom & Eddie) will appear as Dijonay Jones, Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster) as Zoey Howzer, Alisa Reyes (Break Even) as LaCienega Boulevardez, Carlos Mencia (The Three Amigos) as Felix Boulevardez, Maria Canals-Barrera (Wizards of Waverly Place) as Sunset Boulevardez, Uruguayan football manager Alvaro Gutierrez as Papi (with The Cleveland Show’s Kevin Michael Richardson as his iconic laugh), Raquel Lee Bolleau (Grow House) as Nubia Gross, and Marcus T. Paulk (Taking Five) as Myron.
The Proud Family: Louder and Prouder is created by Bruce W. Smith (The Princess and the Frog) and Ralph Farquhar (The Parkers), who also serve as executive producers alongside Calvin Brown Jr.(My Brother and Me), who will also be the story editor. Jan Hirota (Godzilla: The Series) is the producer and Eastwood Wong (The Mr. Peabody & Sherman Show) is the art director. Latoya Raveneau (Final Space), Tara Nicole Whitaker, and Walt Disney Television Studio’s Rudi Bloss will direct the season.
