Disney+ Reveals Episode Titles For Limited Series ‘Wonder Man’

With only a week left before its arrival, Marvel Television released the episode titles for its upcoming limited series, Wonder Man. The titles were first posted yesterday on Marvel Studios’s Instagram page. See the post below.

The Hollywood-inspired titles for the eight-episode series include “Matinee,” “Self-Tape,” “Pacoima,” “Doorman,” “Found Footage,” Call Back,” “Kathy Friedman,” and “Yucca Valley.” The series stars Yahya Abdul Mateen II (Candyman, The Get Down) and Ben Kingsley (Gandhi, Sexy Beast) in the roles of Simon Williams and Trevor Slattery, respectively.

Originally announced in 2022, creative shuffle and the dual labor strikes delayed the series. The show finished filming last June. Based on the lower-tier Marvel Comics character, Mateen II stars as Simon, a struggling actor who yearns for the opportunity to land the role of a lifetime. A legendary Oscar-winning director is rebooting a superhero character for a new adaptation. Simon enlists Trevor Slattery, known for playing the role of the Mandarin against Iron Manto assist him in this endeavor. As Simon embarks on this life-changing journey, he harbors a super secret behind the scenes.

Director Destin Daniel Cretton (Tokyo Vice, American Born Chinese) and writer Andrew Guest (Suburgatory, Hawkeye) are the creators of this meta take on movie-making and superhero fatigue. Cretton will direct the first two episodes and is joined by James Ponsoldt (The Circle, Shrinking), Tiffany Johnson (How to Die Alone, Black Monday), and Stella Meghie (The Photograph, Minx).

Guest is joined in the writers’ room with Paul Welsh (Crazy-Ex Girlfriend, Mack & Rita), Madeline Walter (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Cold War), Zeke Nicholson (Loot, While You Were Breeding), Anayat Fakhraie (The Night Agent, Orphan Black: Echoes), Roja Gashtili (Areh Areh, Rita Mahoubian Is Not A Terrorist), Julia Lerman (Mr. Corman, The Last Shift), and Kira Talise (Killing It, Insecure).

All eight episodes of Wonder Man arrive January 27, only on Disney+.
