Disney+ has renewed Marvel’s latest television series, Loki, for a second season, according to Deadline. News of this renewal was announced during the end credits of the season one finale on Wednesday.
Tom Hiddleston’s (Thor) Loki follows the infamous God of Mischief as he lands himself into trouble with the Time Variance Authority (TVA) after stealing the Tesseract in Avengers: Endgame. The series stars Owen Wilson (Cars Toon), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Belle), Sophia Di Martino (Yesterday), Wunmi Mosaku (His House), and Richard E. Grant (Wthnail & I).
Hiddleston hinted at the show’s renewal prior to the release of the show’s six-episode finale, “I have learned, at this point, having said goodbye to the character more than twice, two and a half times maybe, to make no assumptions,” via Deadline.
Loki joins the list of series within the Marvel Cinematic Universe that have concluded their first seasons, alongside WandaVision, which has been nominated for 23 Emmys, and The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which has been nominated for five. However, neither of the latter shows has confirmed a season two.
All six episodes of Loki are available to stream on Disney+.
