At the Star Wars Celebration in Anaheim, California on Sunday, Star Wars revealed the new trailer for season two of their spinoff series, The Bad Batch. It was also announced that the upcoming season would debut on Disney+ this coming fall.
In a press release, Disney+ gave a description for the upcoming second season of The Bad Batch.
“Months have passed since the events on Kamino and the Bad Batch continue their journey navigating the Empire after the fall of the Republic. They will cross paths with friends and foes, both new and familiar, as they take on a variety of thrilling mercenary missions that will take them to unexpected and dangerous new places,” the press release read.
The new trailer was revealed at Star Wars Celebration with a panel that included supervising director and executive producer Brad Rau (Ka-Pow!), head writer and executive producer Jennifer Corbett (NCIS), story editor Matt Michnovetz (24), Dee Bradley Baker (American Dad!), the voice of all the clone troopers in The Bad Batch, and Michelle Ang (Fear The Walking Dead), the voice of Omega.
Other voices heard in The Bad Batch include Noshir Dalal (Hawaii Five-O), Liam O’Brien (Curse Of The Golden Flower), Rhea Perlman (Cheers), Sam Riegel (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), Bob Bergen (Akira), and Gwendoline Yeo (Desperate Housewives).
The Bad Batch is just one of Disney+’s many Star Wars spinoff series. Other spinoff series that have debuted on the streaming service include The Mandalorian, The Book Of Boba Fett, and, most recently, Obi-Wan Kenobi. There are a few on the way as well, including Andor, Ahsoka, Tales Of The Jedi, and Star Wars: Skeleton Crew.
Star Wars: Skeleton Crew, which will star Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes) and release in 2023, was also announced at Star Wars Celebration over the weekend. It was also announced that season three of The Mandalorian will release in February 2023 and that Tales Of The Jedi will release in the fall.
