Today, September 18, 2023, a Disney+ press release announced that season 34 of The Simpsons will hit Disney+ for streaming on October 11. Audiences of the beloved series can expect 22 episodes of shenanigans with the Simpson family.
The Simpsons is quite the award-studded series, the series has earned an Emmy Award, Peabody Award and an Annie Award. Springfield and its colorful residents have been around for quite some time, since ’89 to be exact, and season 34 marks a key milestone for the series. The Simpsons season 34 will house episode 750. The episode is titled Homer’s Adventures Through The Windshield Glass.
The new season will feature some awesome guest voices, including: Melissa McCarthy (The Little Mermaid, Bridesmaids), Rob Lowe (Holiday in the Wild, Super Troopers 2), Anna Faris (The Emoji Movie, Overboard), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Women is Losers), Lizzo (Hustlers, Ugly Dolls), Aubrey Plaza (The White Lotus, Parks and Recreation) and many, many more.
The Simpsons is the only scripted series that has run for as long as it has and Disney claims in their press release that it is “one of the most groundbreaking and innovative entertainment franchises.” Which, as the years go on, is beginning to feel like fact!
In the press release, Disney also gave a little insight into what the first episode of the 34th season will entail. “Homer is desperate to prove he’s not dumb and sets out to solve the case of the tortoise missing from the zoo.” That should play out well!
The key art revealed is from the Treehouse of Horror episode, and it’s very clear that it will be horrifically hilarious based on the art.
Keep an eye out for The Simpsons season 34 premiering on Disney+ on October 11. All other Simpsons related goofs can also be found on the Disney streaming service.
