Seven- day free trials have come to a close for streaming platform Disney +. After eight months after Disney premiered their streaming app, granting access to Disney shows, movies, and original series, Disney + has cut customers off from a free trial of the platform according to Comicbook.com.
A Disney Spokesperson explained of the changes, “We continue to test and evaluate different marketing, offers and promotions to grow Disney Plus,” a rep for the company said in a statement. “The service was set at an attractive price-to-value proposition that we believe delivers a compelling entertainment offering on its own” via The Variety.
For the first month of Disney +, customers are expected to pay $6.99 or $69.99 for an entire year of access to the streaming platform. The sudden shift in Disney + comes in time for the July 3 release of the broad way hit Hamilton on July 3. The movie revolves around the musical by Lin-Manuel Miranda.
The platform has toppled over 50 million subscribers by April of this year, according to the Comicbook.com. You can start streaming on Disney + here.
