

Disney+ has officially announced that their original series Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been renewed for a third season. The show has been popular with fans of the coming of age book series of the same name, written by Rick Roirdan (The Lightning Thief, The Sea of Monsters).
According to a Disney press release, the third season will follow the plot of The Titans Curse, the third installment of Riordan’s novel series. The series chronicles Percy and his demi-god friends as they go on mythical adventures.
“From the moment ‘Percy Jackson and the Olympians’ debuted, it was clear this series had struck a chord with fans of all ages,” said Ayo Davis, president, Disney Branded Television, in the press release . “With season two set to premiere this December, we’re thrilled to announce that Percy’s journey will continue with a third season. Huge thanks to our incredible cast and creative team, our partners at 20th Television, and our visionary and talented producers who continue to bring Rick Riordan’s world to life with such depth and imagination.”
As per the press release, Nielsen data confirmed the show was in the top five most-watched original series on streaming platforms after its December 2023 premiere. The series also received 16 nominations for the Children and Family Emmy Awards, which will be held March 15.

This third season will be new territory for the screen, bringing fan favorites like the Hunters of Artemis and Nico di Angelo to life for the first time,” said Rick Riordan in the Press Release. “It’s a huge sign of commitment from Disney, and speaks volumes about the enthusiasm with which the fandom has embraced the TV show. The second season of the series will premiere on Disney+ this December, and stars Walker Scobell (The Adam Project, Secret Headquarters), Leah Sava Jeffries (Something from Tiffany’s, Beast), Aryan Simhadri (Cheaper by the Dozen, Spin), Charlie Bushnell (Diary of a Future President, In the Know), Dior Goodjohn (Head of the Class, Are You Afraid of the Dark?) and Daniel Diemer (The Half of It, Supercell).
