Ahead of its premiere on Disney+, the upcoming Marvel streaming series, WandaVision, has released a new teaser clip on New Year’s Day entitled “Visionary New Era,” according to ComicBook. The newly released teaser clip consists of thirty seconds of demonstrating flashes of the sitcom’s unconventional style and themes. WandaVision will act as the first original series that is released on Disney+ from Marvel Studios and will premiere on the streaming service on January 15.
WandaVision is set within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and is created for television by Jac Schaeffer (Black Widow) with Matt Shakman (Game of Thrones, Fargo) aboard as a series director.
The new Marvel series will focus on the interconnected lives of Wanda Maximoff, or Scarlet Witch, and Vision. Elizabeth Olsen (Wind River) and Paul Bettany (Iron Man) will reprise their roles as Wanda and Vision from their previous appearances within the MCU and its films. The Disney+ original will center on the relationship between the two superheroes after the conclusion of the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame as the duo lives within a suburban realm before realizing its discrepancies with real life.
WandaVision will premiere on Disney+ on January 15 and will comprise six episodes. The release of this series marks the first of many Marvel series set to hit the streaming platform before the likes of Loki, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Hawkeye, What If…?, and many others.
