According to Deadline, Disney+ and Hulu revealed the first teaser look for the second installment of the Goosebumps anthology series, Goosebumps: The Vanishing. The teaser gave a first look at the series’ new star, David Schwimmer (Friends, Madagascar). The new season of the series will premiere on January 10.

As per Deadline, the description for the series is as follows: “Goosebumps: The Vanishing follows twins Cece and Devin Brewer as they are sent to spend the summer in Gravesend, Brooklyn with their divorced dad. A threat is stirring, and they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Cece, Devin and their friends find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”
The series, composed of eight episodes, features Schwimmer as Anthony Brewer, a former botany professor who has immersed himself in science and mystery. Other cast members for the series include Jayden Bartels (Side Hustle, Group Chat), Sam McCarthy (Dead to Me, The Blacklist), Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty, Labor Pains), Elijah M. Cooper (The Girl Lay Lay, 9-1-1), Galilea La Salvia (Shining Vale, Party Down), Francesca Noel (Sabor, Redder) and Stony Blyden (Bluff City Law, Big Shot).
According to Deadline, fans of the series will see many elements from R.L. Stine’s (Say Cheese and Die) works. Novels of Stine’s that inspired the series include Stay Out of the Basement, The Haunted Car, Monster Blood, The Girl Who Cried Monster, The Ghost Next Door and Welcome to Camp Nightmare.
The first season of Goosebumps is available to stream on Disney+ and Hulu.
