‘Dexter’ Prequel ‘Dexter: Original Sin’ Premiere Date And Trailer Released

Fans of the beloved serial killer series Dexter rejoice as Paramount+ announced that Dexter’s story isn’t quite over. According to Comicbook.com, a new trailer revealed that Dexter: Original Sin will be released on December 13, 2024, with Paramount+’s Showtime plan only.

Dexter: Original Sin joins the lineup of new Dexter content emerging after the original series, like Dexter: New Blood, which premiered in 2021 and follows Dexter as he is confronted by the return of his son. According to mxdwn, more spin-offs from the Dexter franchise are circulating, with one potential spinoff focusing on the origin story of the character Trinity Killer. When his bloodthirsty urges can’t be ignored any longer, Dexter must learn to channel his inner darkness. With the guidance of his father, Harry (Slater), he adopts a Code designed to help him find and kill people who deserve to be eliminated from society without getting on law enforcement’s radar. This is a particular challenge for young Dexter as he begins a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department” via Comicbook.com.
