The countdown toward the final season of Netflix popular supernatural series, Stranger Things, is nearing its final climax. Reported by Screenrant, a surprise clip for volume two has just surfaced and gives a viewers insight on what to expect after the cliffhanger in the previous part. We also get to see the fate of one of the series’ newest characters, Derek, played by Jake Connelly (Between the Silence), who was captured alongside the other targets at the end of the first part.
Stated by Screenrant, the released footage opens up with Derek and the other kids waking up in a field in front of a familiar house, greeted by Henry aka Venca, played by Jamie Campbell Bower (Witchboard, Camelot). They are unaware of the danger they are truly in as they are stuck within Vecna’s mind prison, which leads Max, played Sadie Sink (Fear Street Part One: 1994, The Whale) and Holly, played by Nell Fisher (Evil Dead Rise, Bookworm) to come up, with a plan to help them from within.
According to Screenrant, the entirety of Vecna’s plan has yet to be revealed, but as he states back in the first volume he wants to “reshape the world”. This second volume presents a pivotal opportunity for Derek to demonstrate his true potential. Once he breaks free from his trance, he will join forces with Max and Holly to rescue the others and decisively thwart Vecna’s plan.
The second volume of Stranger Things final season is scheduled to debut on December 25with the finale on December 31. And while waiting the entire first volume is available to stream on Netflix. Stated by Screenrant, the upcoming volumes will provide clear details on the fate of Hawkins and outline the decisive measures the group will take.
