The character’s true age and backstory remain unknown, and his connection to the natural world is anything but ordinary.
Lanterns, an eight-episode series from Chris Mundy (Ozark, True Detective), Damon Lindelof (Lost, Watchmen) and Tom King (Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, Superpowered: The DC Story), follows Lantern legends Kyle Chandler (Friday Night Lights, Bloodline) as character Hal Jordan and new recruit Aaron Pierre (The Underground Railroad, Old)as John Stewart and as they investigate a murder mystery in the American heartland. Deadline reports that HBO, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios will produce the series, with executive producers and writers including Mundy, Lindelof, and King.
