David Ramsey Returns to The CW’s Arrowverse as John Diggle and Directs Five New Episodes

David Ramsey’s John Diggle is set to return to The CW’s Arrowverse. Diggle has been a long-time fan favorite character within The CW’s Arrowverse. Originally, Diggle served as Oliver Queen’s (Stephen Amell, Arrow) bodyguard but he eventually manifests his own vigilante persona known as The Spartan. In addition, Rasmey will be directing five episodes across a variety of The CW shows like Supergirl and Superman and Lois.

“Ramsey will guest star in five episodes across the Arrowverse, returning as fan favorite John Diggle in Superman & Lois, Supergirl, The Flash and Batwoman, along with a mystery role in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow that is being kept under wraps,” as reported by Deadline.

Fans of the Arrowverse have been quick to draw conclusions that the mystery character Ramsey may be playing in The CW’s Legends of Tomorrow could be the Green Lantern. Several iterations of Green Lantern exist in DC comics. The 2018 finale of Arrow left John Diggle with an emerald ring, fans have developed theories that he will appear as the Arrowverse’s own Green Lantern.

Ramsey himself had a few comments on returning “I remain in awe of the imprint these shows have had on television and I’ve been blessed for the better part of a decade to be a part of them both in front of and behind the camera,” said Ramsey. “To say I’m excited beyond belief to return to the Berlantiverse would be an understatement. I can’t wait to continue telling these stories,” Ramsey stated according to Deadline.

Considering Ramsey’s excitement, fans can be sure that he has some interesting plans for the direction he is taking Diggle. Until then, viewers will have to watch Superman & Lois, Supergirl, The Flash, Batwoman, and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in order to see Diggle’s return to the Arrowverse.
