‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Official Trailer Release Postponed Due To California Wildfire Crisis

Anticipation has been building for the highly anticipated return of Daredevil, played by Charlie Cox (Spider-Man: No Way Home) in the upcoming Disney+ series, Daredevil: Born Again, but due to recent events, fans will have to wait a while for further updates. According to Comicbook, the official trailer and production for the series have been postponed due to the crisis happening in LA, and Vincent D’Onofrio (Echo), who will return as Wilson Fisk, recently said about the matter in an interview, “postponed because of L.A. fires. It’s coming.”

In a separate interview about the series late last year, possibly to build further anticipation with fans before the trailer premiere, Cox told EW via Comicbook, “The thing that we kept talking about was, this show has had the success that it’s had and has appealed to a very specific demographic because it’s one of the few superhero shows that is so dark and sinister at times. Vincent and I both felt like if you lose that, you are at risk of losing the identity of our show. So we really pushed for the show to remain geared towards an older audience and not dumbed down to kind of capture a wider net of people. I think in some ways it’s even darker than a lot of the stuff we’ve done in the past.”

According to an mxdwn post, the other cast that will be returning with Cox and D’Onofrio will be Deborah Ann Woll (Escape Room) as Karen, Elden Henson (Jessica Jones) as Foggy and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) as Frank Castle. The approaching series will be a time skip and introduce new characters, such as the villain, Muse.

Further information surrounding the series and the crisis in Los Angeles will surely arise in the upcoming weeks and months, and fans are hoping for the best. While waiting, the previous Daredevil series and all other ones in the Marvel franchise are available to stream on Disney+.
