Marvel fans eagerly await the premiere of the highly anticipated Marvel series Daredevil: Born Again, which will continue the story from the Netflix original. According to Screenrant, on theThe Official Marvel Podcast, the company’s head of streaming and entertainment, Brad Winderbaum (Werewolf by Night), notes that Born Again is a revival, similar to X-Men ’97.
The future battle between Matt and Wilson will be far different from their previous ones, andWinderbaum suggested that it will be more political to match Kingpin’s rise to the mayor, which was a scene from the post-credit scene from Echo, and adapt the extensive storyline from Devil’s Reign.
According to Screenrant, he stated in the interview, “Well, Daredevil is incredible. It’s similar in some ways to X-Men ’97 because it’s reviving something that the fans love, but it is taking it in a new direction. These characters have matured. The universe is different than it was. Things have changed. Society has changed. Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk have changed, and their characters are going to collide in ways we’ve never seen before. It’s no longer enough to try to murder each other. There’s a whole game of politics at play.”
Following Winderbaum’s comments, Daredevil: Born Again may be one of the most important and wide-reaching new projects in the MCU’s future. Charlie Cox (The Defenders), Deborah Ann Woll (Escape Room), Elden Henson (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Law & Order: Criminal Intent) will surely return to reprise their roles in the upcoming series. According to Screenrant, it has been reported that Born Again will raise the stakes, which sets up Daredevil appearance inclusion in future projects such as Avengers 5 and Avengers: Secret Wars in Phase 6.
This makes fans excited for a thrilling and relevant story that pushes Daredevil’s fight for justice to a whole new level. While waiting for further news surrounding the release date of Daredevil: Born Again, the entire three seasons of the previous Daredevil series are available to stream on Netflix.
