Marvel is back at it, dropping a new trailer for Daredevil: Born Again. The trailer, while brief, contains previously unseen footage. Watch below.
According to mxdwn, Kingpin will yet again be the primary villain for the season. Matt Murdoch, lawyer by day, sightless superhero by night, will attempt to take down his archnemesis. Kingpin, now mayor of the city, enjoys unprecedented criminal and political power.
Spoilers for information below. Mxdwn has reported that at the end of last season, The Daredevil had been backed into a corner. The Punisher had been captured. Kingpin, or Wilson Fisk, had used his new powers as mayor to form the anti-vigilante task force.
According to mxdwn, an initial trailer was released earlier this year. In this trailer, we see Murdoch stepping away from practicing law as well as Daredevil’s weakness on full display. Although The Daredevil is blind, his other senses are heightened to a superhuman level, giving him the ability to perform feats beyond the spectrum of normal human capability. In the trailer, we see his most important sense, sound, being thrown off by a frequency-based attack.
The new trailer shows Kingpin having now gained legitimacy, utilizing the vigilante task force to push Daredevil to his limits. Murdoch sits down with Jessica Jones, another prominent Marvel hero, to discuss the confrontation with the new mayor of the city. Murdoch is unsure whether they can come out victorious. This conversation is intercut between a montage of fights, motorcycles, and cars in the midst of chases, producing a cloud of sparks, and aerial stunts.
Mxdwn has reported that the cast for the series includes Charlie Cox (Merv, Adults), Margarita Levieva (Task, Cast Away Sorta), Vincent D’Onofrio Matthew Lillard (Cross, Five Nights at Freddy’s 2), Genneya Walton (Dead Sea, Candy Cane Lane), Nikki M. James (Caught Stealing, Godfather of Harlem), Krysten Ritter (Stone Cold Fox, Retreat: A Novel), (Spoiler Alert), Wilson Bethel (Untamed, Etheria Film Night 2024), Deborah Ann Woll (Tales from Woodcreek, Queen of the Ring), Lili Taylor (The Gettysburg Address, The Conjuring: Last Rites), Iván Amaro Bullón (The Rip, The Housemaid), Yorgos Karamihos (Agios Erotas, Malice), Susan Varon (Your Friends & Neighbors, Kaleidoscope), Deidre Lovejoy (Gasbag, Chicago Med), Bartley Booz (The Artist, Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere), Raz Ayer (Crying on Command, Intentions), and Elden Henson (Criminal Minds, How to Tie a Noose).
