According to a Deadline article Danny Tamberelli (All That, The Mighty Ducks) who is best known by fans and audiences for his role as Little Pete on The Adventures of Pete & Pete shared a beautiful tribute to his former co-star Michelle Trachtenberg (Gossip Girl, Harriet The Spy) on Instagram following the news of her passing.
Deadline says the childhood actor was reflecting on their time together on set. Tamberelli mentioned how they shared a love of comedy and mischief. “We grew up learning how to make people laugh together. More importantly, we learned to make each other laugh and pull pranks on everyone,” he wrote in the emotional Instagram post per Deadline. He recalled their silly child games, back when they simply called it “playing pretend,” and highlighted Trachtenberg’s unmatched skills in their favorite prank which was the clothespin game says Deadline.
The actor also mentions some of the mischievous things she did like Trachtenberg playfully sabotaging his bass-playing by hiding his cable when he started prioritizing music over their usual lunchtime hangouts. “I got the message,” he wrote, acknowledging her fun-loving yet deeply caring nature. According to Deadline Trachtenberg played Nona F. Mecklenberg, the best friend of Tamberelli’s character on Pete & Pete. Off of the screen she was seen as a “bright light” and a “firecracker,” as Tamberelli described her. In the instagram post provided by Deadline he also mentions how she dedicated time and effort to advocating for “people who needed a louder voice.”
According to Deadline Trachtenberg tragically passed away in February at the age of 39. Authorities responded to 911 call at her New York City residence and per her family’s religious beliefs no autopsy was requested says Deadline. She will be missed,” Tamberelli concluded in the Instagram post. He extended his deepest sympathies to her loved ones, including her mother and sister. Her passing marks a profound loss for fans and audiences.
