

According to Deadline, Christopher Meloni (Happy, Oz) will join a new NFL Drama series for Hulu from Dan Fogelman (Danny Collins, Like Family). The series has “a generational family” component, and Meloni is expected to play the head coach of an NFL team.
The Drama is executive-produced by Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal (This Is Us, Fire with Fire), Jason T. Reed (Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes, Mulan), Jesse Sisgold (Air, Good Rivals), and David Ellison (Top Gun: Maverick, The Tomorrow War), per Deadline.
Meloni stars in Law & Order: Organized Crime, but the future of the series is unknown. However, he would likely be able to do both series if Law & Order: Organized Crime is renewed for a sixth season, according to Deadline
Meloni has a long history with the Law & Order Franchise, playing Detective Elliot Sarber for 12 seasons of Law & Order: Special Victims Unit and six seasons on the aforementioned Organized Crime spinoff. He’s also had roles in Man Of Steel, Rick & Morty, and The Handmaid’s Tale, according to Deadline. His next upcoming role will be in the Netflix Film Little Brother alongside John Cena and Eric Andre.
Fogelman is best known for his work on the drama series This Is Us, which premiered on NBC in 2016 and ran for six seasons until 2022. The series has received widespread critical acclaim and currently sits at a 94% critic score and 81% audience score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Dan Fogelman created and wrote for a number of network series, including The 2021 French series Je te promets, the 2025 Hulu series Paradise, the 2019 Fox series Bir Aile Hikayesi, the 2016 Fox series Pitch, the 2015 ABC series Galavant, and the 2016 ABC series The Neighbors. Fogelman also wrote for the films Bolt, Tangled, Cars, Cars 2, Crazy Stupid Love and Life Itself.
