Friday night Disney’s D23 showcase in Anaheim revealed the first teaser trailer for the Disney+ series, Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. The series is set to premiere on December 3. Check out the new sneak peek below.
Jude Law (Gattaca, The Talented Mr. Ripley) appeared on stage to discuss the new series featuring a colorful cast of kids traveling the galaxy on a new adventure. The official synopsis states Skeleton Crew, “follows the journey of four kids who make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy, crossing paths with the likes of Jod Na Nawood, the mysterious character played by Law. Finding their way home—and meeting unlikely allies and enemies—will be a greater adventure than they ever imagined.”
Joining Law are Ryan Kiera Armstrong (Firestarter, The Old Way), Tunde Adebimpe (Nasty Baby, Twisters), Kerry Condon (Night Swim, Unleashed), Ravi Cabot-Conyers (Encanto, Justine), Nick Frost (The World’s End, Hot Fuzz), Kyriana Kratter (Bunk’d, The Healing Garden), and Robert Timothy Smith (A Little Help with Carol Burnett).
The new live-action series has a host of directors including Jon Watts (Spider-Man: Far From Home, Clowm), David Lowery (The Green Knight, Pete’s Dragon), the Daniels (Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert) (Everything, Everywhere All At Once), Jake Schreier (Paper Towns, Robot & Frank), Bryce Dallas Howard (The Mandalorian, Black Mirror), and Lee Isaac Chung (Minari, Twisters). Christopher Ford (Chaos Walking, The Clovehitch Killer, Jon Favreau (The Mandalorian, Iron Man), Dave Filoni (Ahsoka, Star Wars: The Bad Batch), Kathleen Kennedy (Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, Star Wars: The Last Jedi), Colin Wilson (Munich, Jurassic Park), and Watts serve as executive producers.
